Searching, Sorting and Filtering

Using the Search Bar

Applicable in the Pages, News, Events and Documents Managers 1. Click on the ‘Search’ bar then start typing, the system will start searching as you type 2. Pages will be filtered and displayed in the manager

Filter by Tags

Applicable in the Pages, News, Events, Images and Documents Managers 1. Click on the ‘Tags’ bar then either start typing or select the tags that you want to apply from the dropdown. You can apply one or multiple tags at the same time. 2. Pages/News/Events/Images/Documents will be filtered and displayed in the manager

Filter by Editors

Applicable in the Pages, News and Events Managers 1. Click on the ‘Editors’ bar then select the author or editor from the dropdown. You can apply one or multiple editors at the same time. 2. Pages/News/Events will be filtered and displayed in the manager

Filter by Published or Drafts

Applicable in the Pages, News and Events Managers 1. Click on the ‘Published’ or ‘Drafts’ options at the top of the manager 2. Pages/News/Events will be filtered and displayed in the manager to show content with Published or Drafted status

Filter by Deleted

Applicable in the Pages, News and Events Managers 1. Click on the ‘Deleted’ option at the top right of the manager 2. Pages/News/Events from the past 3 months will be displayed in the manager ○ All deleted content will not appear elsewhere in the manager and will show in draft status if restored

Reset Filters

Applicable in the Pages, News and Events Managers All filters can be stacked on top of one another, ‘Reset Filters’ is a quick and easy way to clear all your filters. Simply click ‘Reset Filters’ to reset all of the above filters.

Columns

Applicable in the Pages, News and Events Managers You can switch on/off column views by clicking on ‘Columns’ on the right side of the table and then toggling your desired columns on or off. Title the page name but also the parent(s); can be sorted alphabetically in ascending or descending order by pressing the up and down arrows Author/Editor the original creator of the page and the person who made the most recent edit Date the date the page was created or most recent edit was made to the page; can be sorted in ascending or descending order by pressing the up and down arrows or the 3 dots, can also be filtered to shows pages with changes made before or after a certain date Release (only in News) the date the news item is scheduled to be published; can be sorted in ascending or descending order by pressing the up and down arrows Start and End (only in Events) the start and end dates of an event; can be sorted in ascending or descending order by pressing the up and down arrows Expiration (only in News and Events) the date the event or news item is scheduled to be unpublished, or the date of manual expiry; can be sorted in ascending or descending order by pressing the up and down arrows Template what template the content is using (is most likely to be DCT or WYSIWYG); can be filtered by type Layout whether the page is using DCT, WYSIWYG or HTML; by default this column is not showing but can be viewed by turning it on with the Columns filter. Layout can be filtered by type or sorted alphabetically in ascending or descending order by pressing the up and down arrows Notes icons for drafted, shared, distributed pages. Hover over the icon to reveal a description for each icon Privacy Level whether content is public or staff; can be filtered by type Actions options to preview, edit, clone or delete a page (or preview and view a page for those with less permissions)

Site Filters

Applicable in all Editors and Uploaders Site filters use previously created site Tags to enable a user to filter the list of sites by specific tags, such as High School or French Immersion. These can be stacked to get a more specific result and cleared by unticking the checkbox, or clicking ‘clear filters’.
